SP705
Deep Red/NIR Dichroic
Blocking Filter

Our SP705 single substrate shortpass absorptive infrared rejection filter is normally not recommended for industrial imaging. The cut-off slope is very gradual which usually translates into poorer contrast when compared to SP700 or SP730 dichroic IR blockers.

Because a significant amount of deep red light is also blocked, this filter will also tend to "color" the image slightly when used with a color camera. However, because it is absorptive, the SP705 is preferred when the main goal is to block stray or scattered light from higher-power near-IR lasers and to protect the camera's sensor.

Standard Threaded Mounts:
We offer standard filter sizes from stock – 22.5mm to 62mm – for same- or next-day shipping. Larger filters – 67mm to 105mm – are made to order and are normally not returnable.

Slip Mounts:
If your lens does not have threads for mounting a filter, Slip Mount adapters are available. Slip Mounts can attach a regular filter to a lens or attach a very large filter to accommodate a wide angle lens. Please call to order Slip Mount adapters.
