LB080
Light Balancing Filter
(minus Red)

Single substrate, hard-coated LB080 filters are used to raise the lower color temperature associated with lighting with a higher percentage of red component, in order to create more natural looking color. It's name is derived from the mired shift value; approximately -80 mired.

These filters are often used in association with fiber optic lighting.

Some vision-related companies call these "blue" filters because of their bluish color and offer them for color separation applications. However, as can be seen from the data provided for this filter, it is not a good choice at all when a filter is needed for such situations.

Standard Threaded Mounts:
We offer standard filter sizes from stock – 22.5mm to 62mm – for same- or next-day shipping. Larger filters – 67mm to 105mm – are made to order and are normally not returnable.
