BP465
Blue Bandpass/UV BLock Filter
BP465 single substrate, hard-coated filters can be recommended for use in some blue LED (~470nm) applications where complete IR blocking is not required.
Please note that MidOpt usually recommends the BP470 Blue Bandpass Filter over the BP465; the BP470 has a broader blue peak, far superior blocking of IR wavelengths and less sensitivity to angle of incidence changes. This is particularly important in UV excited blue fluorescence imaging where the BP465 will often cut off a significant portion of the blue portion of the spectrum that is being emitted by the subject. All of this results in brighter, higher contrast images when using the BP470 filter in these situations.
Color longpass or shortpass filters have long been recommended for use with monochrome cameras to aid in increased contrast and resolution. As the name implies, these filters block shorter or longer visible wavelengths respectively. Except in those few cases where an UV blocking or other longpass filter is incorporated into the camera/sensor, for the most part MidOpt will recommend the use of one of our broad color bandpass filters (whose designs incorporate these longpass filters) over color shortpass filters alone.

Standard Threaded Mounts:
We offer standard filter sizes from stock – 22.5mm to 62mm – for same- or next-day shipping. Larger filters – 67mm to 105mm – are made to order and are normally not returnable.

Slip Mounts:
If your lens does not have threads for mounting a filter, Slip Mount adapters are available. Slip Mounts can attach a regular filter to a lens or attach a very large filter to accommodate a wide angle lens. Please call to order Slip Mount adapters.
C-Mounts:
